The pleasure and the charme of the essential shapes between Baroque and modern design.
In the FUTURA collection, Paola Navone re-invents the shapes of Baroque-inspired ceramics, transforming the objects of the traditional artisan businesses of Bassano del Grappa and Nove in the Vicenza area in northern Italy, from which she drew inspiration, into contemporary decorative elements.
The objects of the collection, now free from their traditional colored glazing and the decorative excess typical of the Baroque style, are now able to let the shapes and volumes prevail, enhanced by the purity of the white material.
Combining strength and lightness, the ceramic vase FUTURA 15 moves upwards: the lines are stretched, curving in the beak that seems to retract shy and introverted, to leave room for the spirals of the handle from the opposite side. The glaze gives light to the upper part of the jar that ends with a refined lid, closed by an elegant knob.
